SCREENINGS

Nichijou

Synopsis:

From the creators of K-On! and Lucky Star comes a slice-of-life series packed with absurd antics and hilarious high school predicaments.

Follow the adventures of three ordinary girls as they make life’s awkward moments a thousand times worse. Along with a colorful bunch of classmates, they learn their most important lessons the hard way. Like whether goats are an appropriate form of transportation, who would win in a wrestling match between the principal and a deer, and most notably, if the three-second rule applies to weenies that fly through mohawks. Meanwhile down the street, a pocket-sized professor makes life difficult for a robot who just wants to be normal. But normal is the last thing you can expect in a town where salmon falls from the sky. In fact, the only thing you can count on is your friends, but even they are totally weird.

Wolf’s Rain

Synopsis:

Paradise—a legend, a myth, and a hopeless dream in a world that has become a wasteland. It is not meant for everyone, only the wolves thought to be extinct yet still roam the lands. When the Flower Maiden awakens, the path to the end will open.

Kiba, a lone white wolf, wanders into a poverty stricken city on a quest. The scent of Lunar Flowers and the will to find Paradise is all he has. Along the way, he runs into other outcast wolves—Tsume, Hige, and Toboe, each with their own story and troubles. Fate bringing them together, they seek out the Flower Maiden, Cheza, and their way to Paradise. But, doing so is no simple matter. Up against a world that fears them and a man with mysterious abilities, their journey is overrun with challenges and worse—sacrifices. With limited time, they must fight to protect Cheza against everyone who seeks her and discover the hidden path to their destiny.

This group of broken souls will form a pack and take their journey to the doors of Paradise. But is it worth the end of the world?

Scrapped Princess

Synopsis:

Synopsis:

Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence

Synopsis:

From groundbreaking director Mamoru Oshii comes the award-winning second installment of the high-action movie series, Ghost in the Shell. The Major is still missing, not a trace of her Ghost in the system, but Batou’s search for her will have to wait.

In the year 2032, advances in cybernetic technology and genetic research have opened the world to possibilities once only dreamed of. Humans can be fitted with cybernetic modifications, download their brains into permanent robot bodies, or bring home their own intimate robotic companion—it’s a life of luxury. Or so it seems. A rash of gruesome murders begins to plague the city and with every lead comes more questions. The culprits? The beloved robotic companions programmed to obey. How does a robot with such basic programming learn the deadly art of murder? Agent Batou and his partner, Togusa, must figure it out before the problem spreads.

The more they search for answers, the deeper the rabbit hole runs. In this case wrought with scandal, danger, and mystery, they’ll find themselves in situations unlike any other.
